The City of Archer is likely aware of the situation. They will probably have someone out with a chainsaw soon. They cleared the trees felled during the first major storm last summer. Archer is proud of the ABT and have taken it upon themselves to maintain the section under the trees. In addition, the Archer 4H Club regularly removes litter from the trailhead area.

If anyone has a similar issue with the trail or if you just want to share positive feedback or ideas, contact Archer’s assistant city manager, John Mayberry (495-2880). If he is able to help, he will. The City of Archer welcomes cyclists. The water fountain at the trailhead was added by the City after a request from one of our cyclists.

Club,

Non emergency services at County admirably tried to persuade Fire to clear this path. I argued that this serves vehicles (bikes) and pedestrians but Fire wont do it.

Public Works is open on Monday morning. We have friends there and I will call and see what we can do.
