Greetings one and all,

If you have not already heard, today Florida Governor DeSantis issued a 30-day statewide Executive Order to stay at home due to COVID-19.

The Executive Order, and the federal guidance on which it builds, is attached to this message as a PDF.

In case you are wondering, the Executive Order looks consistent with the Alachua County stay at home order in two respects of interest to the GCC:

1. As an "essential activity", people can still go out and partake of exercise, including bicycling, provided we practice 6-foot social distance (PDF p. 4, Section 3.A.ii).

2. As "essential services", bike shops can remain open to provide repair and related services (federal guidance, PDF p. 15).
