Have you been certified as a bike helmet fitter yet?
Certified bike helmet fitters are needed from time to time to assist with distribution of FREE bike helmets from FDOT to kids at public events where safe cycling is promoted (think: Trail grand openings, Bike Rodeos, health fairs, National Bike Month events, etc).
Dekova Batey of Gainesville's Bicycle Pedestrian Program has added a second FREE training class to his training schedule, in plenty of time for us to become certified before the Touch-A-Truck event on May 17th. The more helmet fitters we have, the faster we can get kids through the fitting process, keep the lines short, and keep wait times to a minimum. Becoming a certified helmet fitter makes you a (more) valuable member of the cycling advocacy community.
