Hello All,
I recommend the Extractigator. This tool is especially good if working with volunteers and kids because it comes in different sizes.
The City of Oakland just ordered 30 of these (20 junior and 10 original).

As a reminder, and for those of you not originally copied, check out Maria’s nifty research on weed wrench alternatives, below. Has anybody tried any of these or others? Suggestions on what to get and where
to get?
Thanks!

Hello weed wrench users,
I found that nifty image on the web. It looks like we are not the only ones mourning the loss of the weed wrench. The good news is that there now seem to be some new alternatives.
I propose ordering a couple of each ASAP to test before our large tool order.
Here are some candidates. Do any of you see any issues with ordering a trial version of any of these?
The Uprooter – This one is modeled after the original weed wrench and is said to be a new and improved model designed by a
guy who worked for the original weed wrench company. It has a nice patriotic flag but also looks like it comes in the 53” size only. Works on stems up to 2” diameter.
The Pullerbear – Bonus: You can weld your program name on it for FREE! Comes in different sizes and versions Contractor
grade vs. Heavy Duty. The biggest one works on stems up to 3” in diameter.
The Extractigator – This one is has the best name. It boasts that it’s design increases the leverage with a variable
pivot distance allowing the operator to use body weight as the advantage – not physical strength. The big size works on stems up to 2” diameter. The Junior is recommended for 1” diameter.
Thanks,
Maria
