Sign Hill Habitat Restoration Program: We’re Hiring

 

The South San Francisco Parks and Recreation Department is currently recruiting for a Natural Resource Specialist and a Natural Resource Aide to perform invasive weed removal and native planting on Sign Hill Park. The Sign Hill Habitat Restoration Program is a limited term project funded in part by a grant from County of San Mateo County Measure K funding and Supervisor Dave Pine’s Office. The goal of the program is to remove invasive non-native weeds and replant native vegetation.

 

Both positions are limited term, part-time positions.

 

The Natural Resources Specialist candidate must have a basic understanding of horticulture, botany or ecology restoration, and weed eradication programs. The specialist will supervise aides and may supervise other hourly staff. Salary: $37/hour.

The Natural Resources Aide position is an entry level classification responsible for performing maintenance and labor tasks to support the Specialist. Salary: $20/hr.
