Breaking news: I am pleased to inform you that late this afternoon Governor Evers announced that he vetoed AB 76 in its entirety. This bill would have reduced the required training for Wisconsin's certified nurse aides (CNAs) by nearly 40%. Thank you to each and every one of you who reached out to your state legislators and then the Governor to share your views on this bill, as well as your stories to help policy makers understand how important it is to have well trained CNAs providing care to our family members and friends. Thank you to all who shared advocacy alerts regarding AB 76 with board members, program participants, volunteers, community members, and others who shared our concerns regarding this bill. Your actions made a difference!
