The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of WI (ADAW) has been monitoring developments with COVID-19.
Out of an abundance of caution and consideration of CDC guidelines related to this virus and the population we serve, the ADAW has made the decision to cancel all educational programming for April. All ADAW
staff are working remotely.
Currently being offered:
·
Virtual Caregiver Support Groups are being offered in Crawford, Dane and Richland county.
·
Virtual Meeting of Minds (Early Stage Cognitive Enhancement program) is being offered via Zoom.
·
ADAW’s
Helpline is available and staffed by trained Dementia Outreach Specialists offering confidential conversations by phone at
888.308.6251, email support@alzwisc.org or Zoom.
·
The CALM during Crisis (attached) document, developed by ADAW, is a helpful resource to help guide conversations with caregivers. Please feel free to use or share.
We will continue to monitor the situation over the next several weeks to make decisions regarding May programming. We will also provide timely and ongoing updates on our website and Facebook.
In the meantime, we are here to support families in need of guidance and resources.
If you have questions or concerns, please get in touch.
