Welcome to Badgeraginglist as we begin 2020.

The purpose of Badgeraginglist is to provide information and discussion in support of advocacy efforts on behalf of older people.  This includes information on aging-related policies, programs, and data.  

2020 will be a big year for advocates.  We can look forward to

-Battles over Social Security and Medicare

-Further attempts to undermine the Affordable Care Act

-Attacks on programs for poor people

-More voter suppression actions in Wisconsin

-General election in November

Maybe not fun, but certainly important matters. I will try to keep you in the loop on these and other aging-related issues. You certainly won’t get much information from your mainstream media.

Be an active participant in Badgeraginglist.  All of us benefit from information about the wonderful activities and programs operated by and through the Wisconsin aging network.  Keeping good ideas to yourself is kind of silly.  Share your thoughts with the rest of the group.
