I think it is fairly certain that it is a Kreutz. The orbit orientation
matches and the residuals using NEOCP astrometry are not much degraded
if you force the last perihelion to be in 1106. There are some problems
fitting the pre-discovery astrometry so I suppose that there is still
some doubt.
Alan Maury's setup in Chile is very impressive. In 2019 I met him at his
observatory which is just outside San Pedro de Atacama. The skies there
were about as good as you can get.
I'll make some observability predictions when we have a bit more data
but all Kreutz comets favour the southern hemisphere.
