Peter,
Yes, I couldn't image until early afternoon. It would have been
marginally better earlier since it would have been a few degrees higher.
Tomorrow it should be brighter but the elongation will be less.
I've now processed this using 300 frames from the video and get the
attached image. I get a magnitude of -0.8 in a 40 arcsec diameter
aperture using Venus taken with the same settings as a reference. That
seems to faint given how prominent the comet is on the image.
