She doesn’t need voiceover. Voice control will do all of it, but it has a pretty steep learning curve. Also, she will probably want to have it plugged in because it goes through battery pretty quickly.

 You can do editing in any application using voice control but it’s pretty laborious. When I worked with students using AAC, I had them use generative AI, as a way to do longer form writing. In your clients case it would be relatively straightforward for her to generate her writing, and then have generative AI do the editing or refining. Because of the iterative nature of having a conversation with the current generation of models it’s possible to end up with something that would be in your clients voice, and with much less work than trying to write the entire thing out using voice control and dictation.

The current version of ChatGPT has an updated voice model. She can interact with it directly. So she could  dictate her story directly into the AI and then work with it to get the results she wanted. Voice control would allow her to open the browser, go to the right website, login, etc. then, using the voice mode in the generative AI model, it could also create illustrations to go with the story. And if she wanted to learn to use notebookLM, it could turn her writing into a podcast or a short explainer video as well.
